A short piece about the plant science sector/industry in your country:
Egypt is one of the largest African countries and the largest country in the Middle East and the Arab world, with a population of over 100 million people. Egypt is the oldest agricultural civilization in the universe, and is the first nation created the arts of agriculture. There are about fifty thousand researchers working in the field of agricultural and plant research, of which at least 5,000 are working in the field of plant biotechnology. We have many centres, institutes, research laboratories and universities working in the field of plant biotechnology. We have more than ten private sector companies working in the field of Micropropagation of bananas, date palm trees, strawberries, ornamental plants and others. We have the biggest scitific base in our region esp. in plant sciences.
